Welcome to this special Red Tractor Pig Member Update. It's been 18 months since our revised standards came into effect. The revisions were aimed at helping members adapt to changes in legislation and meet evolving supply chain demands, whilst balancing the needs of our customers.
Some key changes to our standards were around producer training and development. With ever-increasing interest and scrutiny of how food is produced, it is important to stay up to date with best practice and to have a professional approach towards training and development. It is also essential to protect the reputation of individual farms, as well as the entire sector.
