Red Tractor's Head of Communications and Member Engagement on why your views matter.
Here’s your July Member Matters, which reports how your Red Tractor membership means that you’re already compliant with new vet attestation rules, and how the Red Tractor team are working hard to protect access to the biofuels market for Crops members, plus much more.
The team are also working hard to continuously improve the way we communicate with you. For example, last week you will have received an email with more detail about how our Sector boards work and with updates from each sector on the most recent round of meetings earlier this month.
Last month we moved Member Matters to this new digital flipbook format to make our content easier to access and navigate. It’s a new tool which we’ve already trialled for technical communications to the Pigs and Poultry sectors with encouraging results.
The number of members opening last month’s Member Matters email rose significantly compared to previous months and it's up to us to offer useful and relevant content every month to keep those readership numbers high.
Your feedback is essential as part of that and last month we ran a survey to find out what you think. Thanks to more than 70 members who responded. More than three quarters rated the publication highly overall, with more than two-thirds saying specifically that they rated the new format highly.

Further encouragement there, but it didn’t work for everyone. We’ve tried to respond to those comments this month, with better direct access to individual content items from the email for example. We know that a few members also had problems opening the digital flipbook document on mobile devices. Here's some advice below to help with that:
