Lightening the Load
The Red Tractor team has produced new resources to support members in the Dairy and Beef & Lamb schemes.
Red Tractor is constantly working on ways we can improve members’ experience of the assurance process. Since launching Version 5 of the Standards in 2021, we have been listening to members views through your trade associations, industry bodies and via your post-assessment survey responses on how we can introduce more clarity and efficiency into the assurance process.
Based on this feedback, the Red Tractor team has been working on ways to improve the standard manuals – to reduce duplication and make it clearer which standards apply to which type of business.
Not all farms are the same and not every standard may be relevant to every farm. Starting with Beef & Lamb and Dairy, we have developed slimmer, print-at-home booklets for each sector. Using visual aids, these booklets also include a new system to help clarify which standards maybe "not applicable" to farms.
The booklets are now ready to access on the website and will replace the existing standards manuals from 1 July.
