The consultation is open to all pig producers, industry stakeholders and supply chain customers.
It will run from 28 April to 6 June.
The consultation is split into sections with the option to only respond to the sections and questions relevant to you. It starts by asking information about you and your business, this is so we understand who is responding to the consultation and the context of your responses.
It will also help us to understand our membership better including the types of systems and practices employed, which in turn will help inform further discussions about future standards and tier development.
You are welcome to respond anonymously. Any information shared will be treated confidentially and will only be analysed as part of the aggregated responses. We will not be using individual responses in isolation or in connection with your assurance and certification in any way.
The consultation asks general questions about the proposed tiered labelling approach and flexible farrowing and gives you the opportunity to provide feedback against each of the proposed standards for both the Enhanced Welfare and Free Range tiers and the Core standards.
